Code on Wages, 2019

The Code of Wages is an Indian law that changes and codifies the country's rules governing wages and bonus payments. In August 2019, the Indian Parliament approved the Code on Wages, which repeals the following four labor laws:

1. The 1936 Payment of Wages Act.

2. The 1948 Minimum Wages Act.

3. The 1965 Act on Bonus Payment.

4. 1976's Equal Remuneration Act.

A foundation for paying wages and bonuses is provided by the Code on Wages, which strives to standardize and streamline wage-related laws in India. It specifies specific rules and regulations for determining wages, setting minimum wages, paying payments on time, and other related issues.

The Code on Wages mandates the payment of a minimum wage, the payment of wages within a specific amount of time, and the prohibition of gender-based wage discrimination. It is applicable to all employees in all industries, both organized and unorganized. Praans Consultech Provide very affordable price and provide many types of services.
